The idea of Channel Mountain Communication (CMC) had been conceived in 2000 by a seasoned writer, journalist, anthropologist, social worker and a documentary film maker Jayprakash Panwar ‘JP’ and conceptually supported by an eminent cinematographer M.S.Dang ‘Bittu’. Later on, with the generous support of friends, CMC has shaped as a media organization and established in 13 November 2003 as registered entity. It is a first production firm / company in Uttarakhand, who launched a New Media concept to provide a complete package of digital communication services, training and consultancy in the state. Since its setting up, CMC has provided professional services for production of films, documentaries, news, short films, advertisements, promos, television programs, music albums, audios, radio programs, visual documentation and publications.
On the other hand, CMC also has imparted media trainings, internship, workshops, seminars and mass communication events in the state. The prime motto of CMC is to restore, preserve and document land, people, ecology and environment, history and culture in the digital age. Since its establishment, CMC has been engaged in audio-visual and print production for public entertainment, education and mass awareness and provided his services to number of government, non government organizations and institutions, private and individuals at the state and national level.
